Athol Congregational Church is an open and welcoming Christian community where the life, teachings, and actions of Jesus guide how we live and love. We believe Jesus showed us a way of radical welcome, compassion, and service, and we do our best to follow that path—loving God, caring for one another, and reaching out to our neighbors. We don’t claim to have all the answers, and we certainly aren’t perfect, but we are sincere in our desire to live with open hearts and open doors.

We think of ourselves as family, and we are always eager to welcome new people in. In our congregation you’ll find people who have had profound spiritual experiences and people who are still wondering who Jesus even was. You’ll find gifted musicians and those who might even be embarrassed to sing out loud in their shower, people who struggle with addiction, people who are gay and straight, people who work in factories, people with advanced degrees, and everyone in between. What brings us together is a shared desire to become more loving, more generous, and more faithful in service to God and to one another.
